Introduction When we first launched our site was about how boys learn and the best educational toys and games (not surprising as we have 2 sons) . However, we have had a lot of customer feedback that these products work very well with both boys and girls. We are a family run company that has carefully selected the best educational learning toys that meet the learning and development needs of Boys. Our range of products reflect how boys learn differently and help to develop both their physical and educational learning.
| Our Story As parents of two sons we became concerned that:1. boys were under performing at school 2. learning to learn and problem solving skills were largely ignored at school 3. boys learning styles did not fit well with school's teaching style So we looked at the research, talked to teachers and parents. We concluded that boys do learn and develop differently to girls and this was often not addressed well by school's teaching styles (more..). We concluded that we could make the biggest difference at home with play based learning games. But our search for products was frustrating because there was too much choice and most of it was licensed products that were discarded after a few days. It took a lot of time and effort to find games that were fun for both boys & parents, and that helped kids in learning to learn. So Rocketheads is about making it easier for parents to find engaging games that are fun and motivate boys to learn and practice. Of course, these games will work with girls, we have just taken a boys perspective and tested them with our sons and a panel of boys. |
