Primary maths skills are best promoted and developed through fun and engaging numeracy toys, puzzles and games. There is now compelling evidence that certain kinds of primary maths games boost preschool and primary school maths skills. And these early skills are strongly predictive of math achievement scores later in life. We have chosen toys and games that performed well in our tests for teaching a variety of mathematical concepts. Practice is particularly important as it enhances understanding, reinforces the technique, aids memory and builds speed. Active participation and competition are important to motivate children.
